Donated by: Peter Moustakerski

Voilà Chocolat is thrilled to offer a very special, highly customized chocolatiering experience: the lucky winner will get to design their own chocolate confection and see it produced, labeled and sold to the chocolate-loving public in our new Upper West Side chocolatiering shop.

During a personal consultation and collaboration with Voilà Chocolat's famous Master Chocolatier, Christophe Toury, you will design and name a chocolate truffle, a chocolate bar or a chocolate lollipop with the flavors, ingredients, and design of your choice.

The chocolate creation that you design and name will be handmade by Voilà Chocolat's professional chocolatiers, and will be featured and sold in the Voilà Chocolat shop for 1 month, with part of the proceeds from the sale of this item to benefit YPC.

Become a famous Manhattan chocolatier without even spending one day in culinary school. When will you ever again have the opportunity to design your own best-selling chocolate in collaboration with a former Executive Pastry Chef from the Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental Hotels, and to see it sold in a Wall Street Journal- and New York Times-acclaimed chocolate shop?

Founder and Chief Cacao Nut Peter Moustakerski

Peter is a visionary entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for chocolate. After relocating from Bulgaria to China and co-founding a confectionary company there that he ran for 10 years, he earned his MBA from Columbia and had a long and successful corporate career before going back to school to become a certified chocolatier. Peter immersed himself in chocolate (not always literally) in Costa Rica, at the École Chocolat, and at the French Culinary Institute in NYC, and he joined the Fine Chocolate Industry Association. Peter founded Voilà Chocolat because he was inspired by his fervent desire that everybody should be able to experience for themselves the joy and passion of chocolatiering. In his spare time, of which he has very little, Peter enjoys cooking for friends, engaging in a variety of outdoor sports, spending time with his wife and kids, and tasting a little fine chocolate every day.

Master Chocolatier Christophe Toury

Christophe was born in Chartres, France and began his career at the Ritz in Paris. His pastry and chocolatiering talents then took him to the Essex House Hotel, the Four Seasons Maui, the Executive Pastry Chef role at the Four Seasons New York, the Executive Pastry Chef role at the Mandarin Oriental, and the Chocolatier Executive Pastry Chef role at Jacques Torres Chocolate. He has been named by Pastry Art & Design Magazine as one of the 10 Best Pastry Chefs in America. Christophe loves working with chocolate because of the distinct way it responds to human creativity and ingenuity, almost as if it were alive! He is most excited to see customers’ reactions to discovering this experience for themselves. Christophe enjoys serious road biking, which is a useful hobby for someone constantly surrounded by large quantities of the world’s finest chocolate. Christophe also creates astounding, intricate chocolate sculptures in his home kitchen just for fun.

Voilà Chocolat:

Voilà Chocolat is an amazing new place on the Upper West Side, where you learn how to make artisanal chocolates with your own two hands. They give you the materials, tools, and instructions to make 7 different kinds of artisanal chocolates - truffles, bars, Voilàllipops chocolate lollipops, chocolate bark, traditional French mendiants, fun chocolate shapes, and decadent dipped treats. We use the finest tempered chocolate, so your chocolates come out as beautiful and high-quality as the chocolates sold in high-end chocolate boutiques. It's a perfect place to host a party, to entertain clients, to enjoy a memorable date or to just enjoy a night out with friends.
