Jonathan Gabay is currently the President of Television at Rideback, where he has shows in development at Hulu and Apple, as well as Avatar: The Last Airbender, whose second season premieres this summer.
Previously, Gabay was the EVP of Development and Production at Berlanti Productions and was responsible for development in the drama, comedy, animation, and unscripted space.
Gabay previously produced Brilliant Minds and Found for NBC, Prodigal Son for FOX, Gotham Knights, Superman & Lois, and Kung Fu for The CW, and Superpowered: The DC Story for Max.
While at Berlanti, Gabay also oversaw Titans for Max, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for Netflix, and Riverdale, All American, and Katy Keene on The CW. In 2020, Gabay was a producer on the four-episode docu-series Equal for HBO Max, which was nominated for a GLAAD Award.
Previously, Gabay was at FOX, where he joined as Manager of Comedy Development in 2011 and rose through the ranks to Senior Vice President of Comedy Development & Programming. During his tenure at FOX, he was involved in the development of such series as The Last Man on Earth, The Mick, Ghosted, LA to Vegas, The Grinder, Dads, and Enlisted. He also oversaw New Girl, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and The Simpsons.
Before joining FOX, Mr. Gabay was the Coordinator of Current Programming at The CW. In his time there, he oversaw the final seasons of Smallville and worked on The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, and Supernatural.
Mr. Gabay has a B.A. in Communications & Journalism from the University of Southern California.
