Pamela Anderson came to public prominence after being selected as the February 1990 Playmate of the Month for Playboy Magazine. She went on to make frequent appearances on the magazine's cover, holding the record for the most Playboy covers by any person. Anderson became known to a wider audience in 1991 appearing on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement, in the role of Lisa for its first two seasons, before gaining international recognition for her starring role as "C.J." Parker on the action drama series Baywatch (1992–1997), cementing her status as a sex symbol. The Playboy Legacy Collection features 48 museum quality images dating back to the inception of Playboy Magazine in December 1953, with the inaugural edition featuring Marilyn Monroe. Each of the 48 images was hand selected by Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner and International Images CEO Norman Solomon for its iconic place in history and was produced by International Images in 2007.

David La Chapelle is an American photographer and film director. He is best known for his work in fashion, photography, which often references art history and sometimes conveys social messages. His photographic style has been described as "hyper-real and slyly subversive. Once called the Fellini of photography, LaChapelle has worked for international publications and has had his work exhibited in commercial galleries and institutions around the world. He was named the "Best New Photographer of the Year" by French photo and American Photo magazines in 1996 and “Photographer of the Year Award” at the VH-1 Fashion Awards and the “Applied Photography of the Year Award” from The International Center of Photography in 1997 and “Style Photography” at Life magazine’s Alfred Eisenstadt Awards for Magazine Photography 1999.
