Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival Day - LondonUpon arrival at the airport, meet with your chauffeur for a transfer to your city centre hotel, drop off your bags and check in. You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore this wonderful cosmopolitan city. Suggested visits include the London Eye and Westminster Abbey.

London: One of the world's most visited cities, London has something for everyone: from history and culture to fine food and good times. Immersed in history, London's rich seams of eye-opening antiquity are everywhere. The city's buildings are striking milestones in a unique and beguiling biography, and a great many of them are instantly recognizable landmarks. Architectural grandeur rises up all around you in the West End, ancient remains dot the City and charming pubs punctuate the historic quarters, leafy suburbs and riverbanks. It is also one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities, and diversity infuses daily life, food, music and fashion. London is as much about wide-open vistas and leafy landscape escapes, as it is high-density, sight-packed urban exploration. Central London is where the major museums, galleries and most iconic sights congregate, but visit Hampstead Heath or the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to escape the crowds and enjoy the wide-open green expanses. You can also venture further out to Kew Gardens, Richmond or Hampton Court Palace for beautiful panoramas of riverside London followed by a pint in a quiet waterside pub.

Harry Potter Walking Tour of London: Take a small group walking tour into the magical world of wizardry in London. Learn about London’s rich muggle and wizarding history, amazing facts about the books and films and see many of the Harry Potter film locations used in London, including the Ministry of Magic and the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron. The tour features familiar Harry Potter film locations as well as iconic London landmarks and attractions including St Paul’s Cathedral, Millenium Bridge, Tate Modern, Borough and Leadenhall Markets and Monument. Along the route of your Harry Potter walking tour, you’ll have plenty of chances to take lots of pictures and see the film locations up-close.

Melia White Hotel: Enjoy a 2-night stay in a classic room with full English breakfast for 2.  The 4-star deluxe hotel is your home away from home located in the heart of London. Indulge in round-the-clock service with full concierge, top international cuisine, a private lounge, and the internationally famous cocktail bar Dry Martini by Javier de las Muelas, or experience the sights and sounds of the city with Regent’s Park, Harley Street and Soho right on your doorstep.

Day 2 – Harry Potter Day Tour: Make your way to Victoria Station where you will join a coach tour to Warner Brother's Harry Potter Studios. No Potter fan’s trip to Britain would be complete without a visit to this studio. The award-winning tour gives you access to spectacular sets from the Harry Potter movies and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at their production. Enjoy an audio guided tour of the studios and return to London later in the day.

Day 3 – London to Gloucestershire via Oxford: Pick up your automatic rental car and depart London for Oxford. Rental includes VAT, collision damage waiver insurance, theft protection insurance and unlimited mileage. Does not include drop-off fee.

Harry Potter Walking Tour of Oxford: Lights, camera, action! Grab your wand and enjoy a fantastical walking tour around Oxford – home to the oldest University in the English-speaking world. Suitable for both muggles and wizarding folk alike, this nearly 2 hour guided walking tour of Oxford will take you to some of the film locations used in the Harry Potter movies as well as other blockbuster films shot in Oxford. As part of this tour of Oxford, you will be spellbound as you learn about life at one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world and find out why Oxford’s Colleges make the perfect setting for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and other on-screen locations. No tours on Sunday. Continue on to Gloucestershire.

Greenway Hotel: Enjoy a 1-night stay in a deluxe room with full English breakfast for 2.  Set on eight acres of stunning countryside grounds in a 16th-century Cotswold stone manor house, this upscale hotel is tucked away on the outskirts of the rolling Cotswolds, near the Regency town of Cheltenham.

Day 4 – Gloucestershire to Yorkshire: Depart your hotel and drive into central Gloucester to visit the imposing Gloucester Cathedral on a self guided tour.  The cathedral’s cloisters are used as various settings for Hogwarts' interiors, most notably the Fat Lady portrait in the first film and the writing on the wall and the flooded corridor scenes in the second film. After your visit, continue north to Yorkshire, perhaps stopping to visit Hardwick Hall along the way, which is the main setting for Malfoy Manor, the home of the Malfoy family and the Death Eaters’ main hideout in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Arrive at your hotel in Yorkshire late afternoon.

York: Nowhere in northern England says 'medieval' quite like York, a city of extraordinary cultural and historical wealth that has lost little of its pre-industrial luster. A magnificent circuit of 13th-century walls encloses a medieval spider's web of narrow streets. At its heart lies the immense, awe-inspiring York Minster, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world. York's long history and rich heritage is woven into virtually every brick and beam, and the modern, tourist-oriented city – with its myriad museums, restaurants, cafes and traditional pubs – is a carefully maintained heir to that heritage.

Grand Hotel & Spa: Enjoy a 2-night stay in a classic room with full English breakfast for 2.  Experience the luxury, opulence and style of the golden age of travel at The Grand Hotel & Spa, housed in the iconic former headquarters of the North Eastern Railway Company. History and heritage combine with everything a modern traveller could wish for in this iconic Edwardian building. The Grand is the only 5-star hotel in York and they offer the very best in traditional English style and service, set off with a friendly Yorkshire welcome.

Day 5 – Yorkshire: On a day tour of North Yorkshire, park your car in Goathland and hop on board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to enjoy a day filled with vintage charm and amazing scenery on one of the world’s greatest heritage railways. Let their fleet of steam and heritage diesel trains transport you to Whitby along 24 miles of National Park countryside and back in time to experience a taste of a bygone era. Goathland station acts as Hogsmeade Station, the main station for Hogwarts in the films. The seaside town of Whitby is a fascinating town with connections to Captain Cook and Dracula.  The Yorkshire coast is particularly a great place to sample delicious, freshly caught seafood, and for many a trip to the area just wouldn't be the same without indulging in some delicious Whitby fish and chips.

Ghost Walk York: The Walk was established before 1973 and was an original creation believed to be the first in the world. The Walk aims to be accurate, authentic and genuine, exploring a world of folklore, legend and dreams. Experience a unique opportunity to discover the hidden magic of the ancient city through the real art of storytelling. Tales are drawn from the immense history of York and are told against a backdrop of haunting beauty. Walk in the very footsteps of those who have passed before. The stories are renowned and retold all over the world.

Day 6 – York to Edinburgh: Depart Yorkshire and travel north towards Scotland. Before you reach the border, stop in in the historic county town of Durham. Visit Durham Cathedral, used to shoot various exterior and interior shots of Hogwarts, including classrooms, corridors, and outdoor courtyard shots. The most notable of these is Professor McGonagall's classroom. Continue further north to visit Alnwick Castle, the second largest inhabited castle in the country; home to the Duke of Northumberland's family, the Percys, for over 700 years. The castle's rich history is brimming with drama, intrigue, and extraordinary people; from a gunpowder plotter and visionary collectors, to decadent hosts and medieval England's most celebrated knight: Harry Hotspur. In recent years it has also taken starring roles in a number of film and television productions, such as Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter films.

If you wish, you can even have a Quidditch lesson while here!  Alnwick Castle has been used as Hogwarts for several exterior shots throughout the films, including Quidditch training in Philosopher's Stone, the Flying Ford Anglia scenes in Chamber of Secrets, and Hagrid bringing in the Christmas Tree. Cross the border into Scotland and continue to your hotel in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh: Edinburgh, the inspiring capital of Scotland, is a historic, cosmopolitan and cultural city. The setting is wonderfully striking: a city perched on a series of extinct volcanoes and rocky crags, which rise from the generally flat landscape of the Lothians, with the sheltered shoreline of the Firth of Forth to the north. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city-centre skyline and from its ramparts you can look down on medieval lanes and elegant, sweeping terraces that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition. Yet Edinburgh is also a modern, dynamic capital where international festivals attract the world's leading performers, galleries display cutting-edge art, and bars, restaurants and clubs create a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a distinctly Scottish twist. 'Edinburgh,' said writer Robert Louis Stevenson, 'is what Paris ought to be'.

Bonham Hotel: Enjoy a 2-night stay in a classic room with full English breakfast for 2.  The Bonham Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with an uplifting contemporary ambiance within the classic timelessness of a Victorian town house. Overlooking tree-lined gardens in Edinburgh's exclusive West End, the hotel is just a short walk from the city's many excellent shops & boutiques, the financial district & Edinburgh Castle.

Day 7 – Edinburgh: Follow in the footsteps of J.K. Rowling as you explore the city which inspired her novels on a 2-hour walking tour,  a must for any Harry Potter fans. Explore the exquisitely magical world that Harry and his friends found themselves in. Marvel at locations such as the entrance to the fictional Hogwarts, invisible to the Muggle world, the inspirational winding streets of old town Edinburgh to the spot where J.K. Rowling wrote the books. Use your knowledge of spells to outwit the guide and seek out inspirations and film locations around the stunning city of Edinburgh. The afternoon is free to explore the city, perhaps enjoy a cup of tea at the Elephant House café, famous as the place of inspiration to J.K. Rowling, who sat writing much of her early novels in the back room overlooking Edinburgh Castle.

Day 8 – Departure - Edinburgh: Today you will make your way to Edinburgh Airport and return your rental car for departure.

5% of the hammer price for this purchased package will be remitted to the benefiting charity upon successful fulfillment. Please be aware that this auction is not tax-deductible.

Each Bidder’s decision to bid and determination of their bid amount should be based upon their own examination of the item(s) in question. 5. Bidding
5. Bidding

A. Entering Bids

To bid, find a lot page, enter a value in the bid box, and click “Bid.” If you click “Bid” on a lot, you will be prompted to either log in to your Charitybuzz account, or create a new one if you do not have one already.

Once you’ve created an account you will be presented with the lot details, conditions of sale, and standard shipping and redemption details. Once you have accepted the Conditions of Sale, you may proceed with placing a bid on that lot. All bids placed for any lot are governed by the Conditions of Sale for that lot.

You may bid at or above the starting bid displayed as the “Current Price” in a lot page’s bid box. The current leading bid, along with a list of a lot’s full bidding history, will be visible to other users. If the status of your bid changes, you will receive notifications via email and push (if you have the Charitybuzz App installed).

B. Cancellation Rights

As soon you place and confirm your bid amount, your bid is submitted. You accept and agree that bids submitted by you are final. Charitybuzz is not responsible or liable for any problems, delays, or other issues resulting from the use of the Internet, including but not limited to transmission, execution, or processing of Bids.

Charitybuzz nor the Seller is responsible for any errors in bidding. A bidder should make certain to bid on the correct lot. The Bidder should make sure the bid price they enter (including any taxes or fees) is the price they are willing and able to pay. Once the hammer has fallen and Charitybuzz has announced the winning Bidder, that Bidder is unconditionally bound to pay for that lot, even if the Bidder has made an error.

A bid(s) entered by mistake on the part of a bidder is NOT grounds for cancellation of that bid. Each bidder is responsible for his or her own account and bids. In addition, allowing access to another who enters a bid without your knowledge is NOT grounds for cancellation of a bid.

C. Fraudulent Bidding

All Bidders must meet Charitybuzz’s qualifications to bid. Any Bidder who is not a client in good standing of Charitybuzz may be disqualified at Charitybuzz’s sole discretion and will not be awarded lots. Such determination may be made by Charitybuzz in its sole discretion, at any time prior to, during, or even after the close of the Auction. Charitybuzz reserves the right to exclude any person from the auction.

Bids will not be accepted from minor persons under eighteen (18) years of age without a parent’s written consent containing an acknowledgement of the conditions herein and indicating their agreement to be bound thereby on behalf of the bidder.

If an entity places a bid, then the person executing the bid on behalf of the entity agrees to personally guarantee payment for any successful bid.

Any bidder that represents a purchaser is personally and individually responsible for any obligations of the purchaser set forth in these terms and conditions. All purchasers purchasing pursuant to a valid resale license will need to provide appropriate documentation for removal of state sales tax.

D. Winning & Disputes

The successful bidder is the highest bidder acknowledged by Charitybuzz. In the event of any dispute between bidders, or in the event of doubt on Charitybuzz’s part as to the validity of any bid, Charitybuzz will have final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the lot in question. If any dispute arises after the sale, Charitybuzz’s sale record is conclusive. While Charitybuzz makes every effort to guarantee accuracy, in the event of an error, and a lot is accidentally declared sold by mistake, Charitybuzz reserves the right to cancel the sale and relist the lot in its sole discretion.

By accepting the Conditions of Sale, Bidder personally and unconditionally guarantees payment.

Title to any lot remains with the Seller, any secured party of the Seller, or assignee of Seller, as the case may be, until the lot is paid for in full by the Bidder. Charitybuzz reserves the right to require payment in full before delivering any lot to the successful bidder.

6. Max Bidding
6. Max Bidding

A maximum bid is a secret amount you enter, that represents the maximum amount you are willing to bid. It is higher than the current price and also higher than the next allowable minimum bid amount. If you enter a maximum bid, we’ll bid on your behalf up to that maximum bid amount in response to other bids, according to Charitybuzz’s bidding tiers.

The value and status of your maximum bid will be visible only to you, unless it is the leading bid.

Charitybuzz strongly encourages the use of Max Bids to increase your chances of winning.

7. Extended Bidding
7. Extended Bidding

When an auction reaches the final 10 minutes before it closes, any bids received in that final 10 minutes push out the previous close time by an additional 10 minutes. This recurring 10 minute extension is known as “Extended Bidding,” and is signified by a banner above the auction timer on the lot page.

This dynamically extending period is designed to protect against a practice commonly known as “sniping” or “last second bidding” where bidders attempt to enter a quick bid in the final seconds of an auction to secure a win before competing bidders have a chance to counter.

8. Live Bids
8. Live Bids

Live bids lots are a special type of auction lot on Charitybuzz. Live bid lots on Charitybuzz are paired with a real world, physical auction, where that real world auction is often scheduled to occur at a later date. You can distinguish Live Bid lots by the “Live Bid” label in the title of the lot, and additional description text at the start of the lots “Overview” tab.

In a Live Bid lot on Charitybuzz, a lot is created that is similar to any other auction lot on the site. These special lots last for similar amounts of time and bidding occurs normally by our users.

Things start to differ after a Charitybuzz Live Bid lot closes. After it closes and the winning bidder is chosen, that winning bidder’s bid amount or (if it exists) the max bid amount associated with that winning bid, are taken and entered into the associated real world auction. For example, if a bidder on Charitybuzz wins at $12,000 with an unrealized max bid of $15,000, then that $15,000 dollar amount is passed on into the real world auction.

Before the winning bidders bid or max bid amount is passed on, someone from Charitybuzz contacts that winner after the Charitybuzz lot closes and before the real world auction opens. This is to confirm if the bidder would like to increase their bid or max bid amount before it’s entered into the real world auction.

What happens during the real world auction? Each individual one may vary. Charitybuzz does not own or operate any real world auctions, nor does Charitybuzz require any partners to follow a specific auction model. We make no claims to the consistency of real world auction experiences and encourage bidders to contact us for more details as needed.

In our experience, real world auctions tied to Charitybuzz Live Bid lots are typically executed by our partners in a few common ways.

In one scenario, if an auction house and an auctioneer is present, winning live bids from Charitybuzz Live Bid lots are treated as “absentee” bids. This normally means that the Charitybuzz winning bid is placed in the auctioneers books as a bid. As the auctioneer conducts the auction, they will bring up and enter the Charitybuzz winning bid during the course of the auction as the current price or next minimum bid value approaches the Charitybuzz winner’s bid amount. In this scenario, other people in the real world room are expected to bid against the auctioneer, not the Charitybuzz winning bidder. If no one is bidding in the room, the auctioneer will typically keep bidding up the price until the Charitybuzz Live Bid winner wins the real world auction.

In other models, an audience member (including, but not limited to a charity partner employee) might act as a proxy for the winning Charitybuzz bidder. They will usually bid on behalf of the winning Charitybuzz Live Bid winner during the normal course of that auction, using whatever means provided for that auction house (i.e. paddles, etc.)

After the auction is completed, someone from Charitybuzz contacts our bidder to let them know the outcome. If that Charitybuzz Live Bid bidder has won, payment occurs as usual. If that Charitybuzz Live Bid bidder did not win, they will be notified accordingly.

9. Reserve Bids and Prices
9. Reserve Bids and Prices

A reserve bid is a bid placed by Charitybuzz on behalf of the seller up to the minimum reserve (if applicable). Bids placed by Charitybuzz on behalf of the seller up to the amount of the reserve, will be counted toward the total bid count displayed on the lot page’s bid box.

10. Refunds
10. Refunds

Refunds are rewarded on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of Charitybuzz, LLC. Refunds shall only be considered in instances where (i) the seller has failed to deliver the elements contemplated under the lot details/description within the timelines outlined in the lot details OR within 30 days of purchase, whichever is later, and (ii) where the seller/redemption contact are not showing good faith efforts to support the redemption or delivery of the purchase. No refunds shall be granted due to (i) buyer's remorse, or (ii) the bidder/buyer's lack of familiarity with Charitybuzz fees, including Buyer's Premium, or (iii) any request for reimbursement based on perceived value or emotional satisfaction where the lot was delivered by the seller in accordance with the lot details, or (iv) the bidder/buyer’s failure to diligently attempt to schedule an Experience in good faith, or (v) loss or delay of item delivery resulting from bidder/buyer’s failure to provide timely/accurate shipping information.

11. Experience Redemptions
11. Experience Redemptions

Experiences auctioned on Charitybuzz.com go through a specific redemption process to coordinate details and complete. That process normally involves messaging and scheduling between all parties (i.e. winners, charities, sellers, venues). Details discussed include but are not limited to experience dates, arrival procedures, airfare, hotel accommodations, restrictions, will-call requirements, and any other on-site notes. Scheduling requires an initial request sent by the customer, and a followup confirmation submitted by relevant redemption contacts.

By using Charitybuzz to bid and win lots, bidders agree to use the Redemption Center exclusively (where enabled) to message and schedule all experiences – doing so is a requirement of redeeming experiences through Charitybuzz. In addition, bidders agree that they are bound by all site terms of use and auction conditions of sale.
