Founded by visionary producer Anne Hamburger, En Garde Arts is a New York-based 501(c)3 not-for-profit that produces bold, unconventional, and innovative multimedia and interdisciplinary theatre that marries content with community and inspires dialogue and debate about the salient issues of our time. Building upon a globally-recognized history of creative excellence alongside such luminaries as Tina Landau, Jonathan Larson, and Fiona Shaw, the organization serves as a fierce advocate of both established and emerging voices employing theatre as a means through which to bring together people who are not normally in conversation — and catalyze social change. Its current productions include the critically-acclaimed BASETRACK Live, now on a 40-city national tour, and WILDERNESS, which premieres this fall at New York’s Abrons Arts Center.
