New York City Center

Manhattan’s first performing arts center, New York City Center was founded over 75 years ago to provide access to the best in music, theater, and dance to the widest possible audience. The distinctive, neo-Moorish theater on 55th Street welcomes audiences to experience internationally acclaimed artists on the same stage where legends like George Balanchine, Barbara Cook, and Martha Graham made their mark. Today, programs like the longstanding, Tony-honored Encores! series and the annual Fall for Dance Festival are complemented by education and community engagement programs that bring the arts to students, teachers, and families across New York City. Now, more than ever, City Center is dedicated to serving the city for which it is named and committed to supporting artists with opportunities to create and perform.

Your support of this 2020 Gala auction will not only help transform City Center’s programming into digital offerings that reach a global community and deepen relationships with education partners to serve thousands of students but also to ensure a triumphant return to our beloved theater when it is possible to safely reopen our doors.
