To celebrate the launch of the Lacoste x Polaroid capsule collection, Lacoste has joined forces with famed fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth for an exclusive photography exhibit, all shot on the limited edition Lacoste x Polaroid 600 Instant Camera.
Von Unwerth’s career spans three decades and is known for her distinct edgy, provocative yet playful style that can be seen through her work with some of the most famous women in the world including Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Campbell and many more. She is also the 2020 recipient of the Award for Editorial, Advertising and Fashion Photography from the Royal Photographic Society (the world’s oldest photographic society), making her one of the most in demand photographers today.
The exhibit will be on display in both the Lacoste Prince Street Store in NYC and the Lacoste Melrose Place store in LA from March 19 to mid April and consists of 36 Polaroid photos exclusive to each location. While the bold, carefree and colorful nature of the collection serves as inspiration, this gallery experience truly brings Ellen’s instantly recognizable and quintessential feministic aesthetic to life.
Upon conclusion of the exhibit, the Ellen von Unwerth Polaroid collections and the limited-edition Lacoste x Polaroid 600 Instant camera, exclusively used by Ellen, will be auctioned off by Charitybuzz with proceeds benefiting Abrons Arts Center and P.S. ARTS, personally selected by Ellen.
