The Charitybuzz community will have opportunities to join live radio shows as a guest DJ, watch the Jets vs. Patriots from a VIP suite, meet Carrie Underwood, enjoy a private concert with Tom Chapin & Friends, collect legendary music memorabilia, and more.
Each experience generates support for WhyHunger’s mission of advancing the human right to nutritious food in the U.S. and around the world, through community solutions rooted in social, environmental, racial and economic justice.
WhyHunger’s annual Hungerthon campaign is now in its 40th year, uniting thousands of supporters through SiriusXM and iHeartRadio NY, and artists like Bruce Springsteen and Yoko Ono Lennon, rallying alongside the Charitybuzz community to drive lasting impact.
This year’s Hungerthon effort is more important than ever. Hunger in America is surging. On an annual basis, nearly 50 million people – including 14 million children – don’t get enough to eat. WhyHunger is ready to meet this moment, with 50 years of proven impact strengthening food systems and feeding millions.
Last year, thanks to the support from Hungerthon, WhyHunger was able to:
- Connect 1 million people to healthy food when they needed it most
- Support over 500 community programs advancing food justice
- Invest $1M in local organizations and solutions to end hunger, including training people to grow healthy, sustainable food
- Provide life-saving rapid response in the U.S. and 13 other countries in the aftermath of climate disasters, war and economic instability
A hunger-free tomorrow starts with us, today. Discover more and bid now through Tuesday, December 9.
