Donated by: Beats 1

Owned and operated by Apple Music and broadcasting in over 100 countries, Beats 1 brings listeners the latest mix of pop, hip-hop and indie music. They’ve differentiated themselves by breaking in the hottest new acts, and have made their way into live music with exclusive events and launches with artists like The 1975 and Drake.

If you’ve ever dreamed about a music job in broadcasting or getting in front of global audience, this auction is just for you! Beats 1 is offering one lucky person the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes glance of their LA studios through a one-day internship. Through the various activities, you’ll get to see what makes this radio station a global powerhouse.

In addition to visiting the studio, you’ll get to spend time with GRAMMY® Nominee Zane Lowe. Zane is the Creative Director and Talent behind Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio. He previously established himself in music broadcasting and hosted BBC Radio 1’s New Music show for 13 years before moving to Los Angeles with Apple Music in 2015. Zane has been the global release point for many artists, including Chance the Rapper, Adele, and Kendrick Lamar, and his radio show is renowned for playing new music first.

You’ll also get one-on-one time with Beats 1’s Global Operations Manager Julie Pilat. With years of experience in radio and handpicked by industry icon Jimmy Iovine to join the Beats 1 team, your time spent with Julie will be invaluable. This is a prized experience for anyone interested in a radio career or just a music fanatic. Besides being an artist, this is the closest you’ll get to the mic in front of a global audience…bid today!

This incredible experience includes:

  • One (1) day at Apple Music’s live station, Beats 1, which broadcasts to over 100 countries
  • Time in studio with Zane Lowe during his flagship show, which broadcasts Mondays to Thursdays from 9-11am LA time.
  • Music Business Mentoring lunch with Beats 1’s Global Operations Manager & LA Chapter GRAMMY® Governor Julie Pilat.
  • Attend a Music Meeting and discuss the Beats 1 List with the head of Beats 1’s Music Team. You’ll get to discover the most exciting new music in the world.
  • Choose a song and play it, live on the radio, during Beats 1 Request.
  • Hear your voice on Beats 1! Record a voiceover demo with their Production team.
  • Go home and listen to Beats 1 with a pair of Beats Studio3 Headphones (colors may vary).
