$5,000 provides 2,000 healthy meals or lifesaving medication for 20 people.
All your friends will have to wait until 2017 to watch Newsies in movie theatres when it makes its worldwide cinema debut. But on September 11, 2016, you and a guest will be a part of the exclusive, by-invitation-only, live-filmed audience and experience Disney Theatrical Productions’ smash-hit, crowd-pleasing Tony Award-winning Broadway musical live. You’ll watch from VIP seats at the historic Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, California.
After the performance, you and your guest will be escorted backstage and meet the Tony-nominated star of Newsies, Jeremy Jordan, who will reprise the role of Jack Kelly, which he originated to critical acclaim when the show debuted on the Great White Way. Sharing the stage with Jordan that evening will be joined by original cast members Kara Lindsay as Katherine, Ben Frankhauser as Davey and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Crutchie, joined by North American tours stars Steve Blanchard as Joseph Pulitzer and Aisha de Haas as Medda Larkin.
You will feel like “The King of New York” when you and your guest experience this once-in-a-lifetime, live, filmed performance ahead of all your theatre-loving friends.
Newsies will be seen in movie theatres across the country thanks to Disney Theatrical Productions, in partnership with Fathom Events. Featuring a Tony-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Newsies follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged “newsies,” who dram only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. When publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what’s right.
