Bid now for this unique opportunity to have Ferran Adria reinvent your favorite childhood dish after which you get covert access to join him for a private tasting at Enigma Atelier, one of the world’s most innovative restaurants.
Select your favorite dish or old-time family recipe and challenge Ferran Adrià to reinvent it in an avant-garde format. Once the recreated concoction is done and documented you are invited to taste and discuss the molecular version of the dish with the chef at his brother’s, Albert Adria, latest culinary innovative location – Enigma Atelier in Barcelona. The newly opened restaurant reimagines the world’s most influential culinary institution, elBulli, and already has a long wait list for reservations. At the end of your experience, you will take home the step-by-step documented recipe for the new interpretation of your favorite dish.
Ferran Adrià, known as the world's greatest chef and certainly one of the most creative, was referred by Gourmet magazine as "the Salvador Dali of the kitchen". Adrià’s Michelin 3-star restaurant, elBulli, was named best restaurant in the world five times from 2002 to 2009. Annually, the restaurant accommodated 8,000 diners a season, but got more than two million requests hoping to make the pilgrimage to dine at this institution. Adrià has risen beyond the level of standard celebrity chefs to become a gastronomy genius.
During his time at elBulli restaurant, Adrià has concocted 1,846 dishes, many of which pushed the boundaries of gastronomy, science, and art by bringing a radical, scientifically inflected creativity on the process of cooking. These techniques and ingredients produced some startling dishes: "dragon" cocktails that made the drinker breath smoke; "caviar" made from pearls of olive oil; a robust plate of lapin royale made into gelatin. Hot into cold, sweet into savory, solid into liquid or air, Adrià played with his diners' expectations, undermined established categories of taste and texture, and constantly, miraculously, continued to surprise.
