In his early years, Tarbert was particularly fond of the Dutch masters, admiring their attention to details in their masterpieces. As a teenager, Tarbert began experimenting with art mostly using ink and pastel, as mediums, and abstract art as his method of expression. Not fully satisfied with his manual skills, Tarbert started using digital media as a way to channel his creative abilities and create wonderful pieces of art.
