Review and improve your film script or concept with New York-based film producer, Anne Carey in New York City!
This is a unique opportunity to experience one-on-one development coaching from a veteran producer in the film industry. Anne will read and evaluate the winning bidder's script and/or pitch in advance of the meeting and then provide a one-on-one feedback and coaching session. Based on her extensive experience as a producer, Anne will provide comments on the narrative, characters, and character development and provide feedback on development, packaging, finance, and distribution.
Anne Carey is currently the President of Production at Archer Gray, an independent production company based in New York City. In her career as an independent producer, Anne has worked with filmmakers such as Ang Lee, Anton Corbijn, Bill Condon, Todd Field, Greg Mottola, Tamara Jenkins, Alan Ball, Mike Mills, Nicole Holofcener, Pablo Larrain, and Liz Garbus, among others. Anne’s films have been distributed through Fox Searchlight, Universal, Sony Picture Classics, Warner Independent, Focus Features, Miramax, and HBO. Her films have played and premiered at all major domestic and international film festivals. Anne began her career at the William Morris Agency as the Director of Development sourcing literary material for the agency’s top film and television clients. Anne produced films and was head of development at the seminal independent film company Good Machine for nearly 10 years. Following Good Machine, she founded the New York-based production company This is That, Inc. This is that produced 20 films in 8 years. In addition to her film-producing work, Anne is an active adjunct professor at Columbia University Graduate Film School and an active advisor/consultant to the Canadian Film Center. Australian Film Commission and the Film Commission of New South Wales. Anne has served as a producer in residence at the Sundance Producers Lab and at the Aurora Filmmakers Conference in Sydney, Australia, and as an adjunct professor at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is an active lecturer and mentor.
