Enjoy a private studio visit with internationally renowned composer Yuval Ron in Los Angeles, including lunch. During your time together, you will have the opportunity to compose or record in his studio. The winner will also receive a signed copy of his award-winning book Divine Attunement Music as a Path to Wisdom.
Yuval Ron is a world music artist, composer, educator, peace activist, and record producer. He composed the songs and score for the Oscar-winning film West Bank Story and was the featured artist at the Dalai Lama’s Seeds of Compassion Gala Concert at the Seattle Opera Hall. Since 2006, he has collaborated with Sufi leader Pir Zia Inayat Khan.
His film and television scores include Breaking the Maya Code (PBS/Nova), Proteus, Oliver Twist, The Spiral Staircase, Goldas Balcony, and Road to Victory. He has worked with directors including Jeremy Kagan, Ari Sandel, and David Lebrun. His commissions include works for Daniel Ezralow, Ashley Roland, Oguri, and Hirokazu Kosaka, with original theater scores for The Tempest, Amers Jealousy, and Cascando.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, cum laude, Ron is the recipient of the Los Angeles Treasures Award and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, American Composers Forum, California Council for the Humanities, and the Rockefeller Foundation. His ensemble has been featured on CNN and National Geographic for fostering musical dialogue among Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities.
