Zoom with Sharon Lawrence known for her multiple Emmy nominated and SAG Award winning portrayal of ADA Sylvia Costas Sipowitz in the ground breaking NYPD Blue, and as Izzy’s tender but ditzy Mom on Grey's Anatomy for which she earned her 4th Emmy nod. Lawrence was most recently seen in the acclaimed Rebel opposite Katey Sagal and Andy Garcia.
Currently Sharon is shooting a series regular role on Joe Pickett with recent recurring roles as the mother from hell on the reboot of Dynasty, Emmy Rossum’s dubious mentor on Shameless, a sociopath on Criminal Minds, the librarian with a secret on Home Before Dark and the leader of a cultish enterprise in How To Kill a God in Central Florida opposite Kirsten Dunst. Sharon also starred in Me, Myself and I, Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar, Desperate Housewives, The Ranch with Sam Elliott, the Jenny Mollen series I Like You Just The Way I Am and The Last Tycoon with Kelsey Grammer. Lawrence's film work includes The Lost Husband, Killing Eleanor, Deidra and Laney Rob a Train, Solace with Sir Anthony Hopkins and the Middle of Nowhere directed by Ava DuVernay.
An accomplished stage actress and 2012 Lunt-Fontane Ten Chimneys Fellow, Sharon starred in The City of Conversation, gave an acclaimed performance in The Mystery Of Love and Sex played twenty different women in the Noel Coward cabaret Love, Noel and performed in Noel Coward’s final play A Song at Twilight as well as played Vivien Leigh in Orson’s Shadow for which she was won the LA Drama Critics Circle Award, Maureen in Poor Behavior and Velma Kelly in Chicago on Broadway. Sharon previously chaired and remains active on the advisory board of the Women In Film Foundation and is a Trustee of the Screen Actors Guild. Lawrence serves on the Board of Directors of Heal The Bay and Green Wish.
