Virtually meet Psych co-stars Maggie Lawson and Timothy Omundson!
Maggie Lawson was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. When she was eight, she began appearing in local community and dinner theater productions, and at 10, she earned an on-air commercial gig at a Louisville TV station, which soon led to a steady six-year role as a TV personality who filed news reports targeted for her fellow kids. At 17, she moved to Los Angeles for her first professional TV appearance in a recurring role on the sitcom Unhappily Ever After (1995). Lawson starred in various sitcoms like Cybill, Boy Meets World and Home Improvement throughout her early career in both guest starring and supporting roles. She also made guest appearances on television series such as Smallville and Fear Itself, and co-starred in It's All Relative and Crumbs. From 2006 to 2014, Lawson co-starred in the USA Network original series, Psych, as Detective Juliet O'Hara. She reprised her role in 2017 in Psych: The Movie, in Psych 2: Lassie Come Home in 2020 and Psych 3: This is Gus, in 2021. [4] Following Psych, she scored leading roles in ABC's 2013 sitcom Back in the Game, CBS's 2014 sitcom pilot Save the Date and CBS's 2016 fantasy sitcom Angel from Hell. She also had short arcs on Two and a Half Men, The Great Indoors, and Netflix's The Ranch. Also for Netflix, Lawson starred in the recurring role of Christa on the second and third seasons of horror-comedy series Santa Clarita Diet as well as the movie Spivak in 2018. Most recently, Lawson starred in a recurring role as Dr. Natalie Flynn on the 3rd season of Lethal Weapon and was featured in Treehouse, the 6th episode of Hulu's monthly horror movie anthology Into The Dark. In 2020 she played Kay, the female lead opposite Jason Biggs, in the FOX comedy series Outmatched, "about a blue-collar couple [...] in South Jersey trying to get by and raise four kids, three of whom just happen to be certified geniuses."[5]
Timothy Omundson was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, he is the youngest of four children. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, where his family moved when he was one. Tim started to study theatre at the age of 12 at the Seattle Children's Theater. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from USC and received the Jack Nicholson Award and the James A. Doolittle Award for outstanding achievements in acting. Shortly after graduation, he got his first professional job as a guest shot on Seinfeld (1989). He also played a major character in the 2006 series Psych where he portrayed Detective Carlton Lassiter. This also includes three television movies based on the series produced by the USA Network called Psych: The Movie in 2017, Psych 2: Lassie Come Home in 2020, and Psych 3: This is Gus which is set to be released in November of 2021.[citation needed] He is also notable for his supporting roles as Sean Potter on the CBS television series Judging Amy, Eli on the syndicated series Xena: Warrior Princess, and King Richard on the musical series Galavant. And most recently, he had an incredible arc on the NBC hit series "This Is Us" as 'Gregory'.
