"Over a decade ago I was watching small teams designing, building, testing, and launching their own experimental rockets at the Mojave Spaceport. I have dedicated the talents I have in music and art to get the word out about the importance of future space exploration. It’s exciting to see in just under 10 years how far we have come and are now using SpaceX, a private company, to send the first all civilian crew to orbit. They will bring back a very important message for us all, to use the technologies we have to explore and find new means for helping the planet by opening the door to space. I’m honored to have a small part in this auction by adding a piece of my art to help with this mission. The fight against cancer and space exploration both have very close ties in my life. I look forward to the doors these brave new astronauts will open for us all." - Ryan Stuit
