Potential Itinerary:
Day 1 – Keserwan
Close to Beirut and yet so far. Known for only 3 sites, the area is so rich with a million things to do. Sadly we can only do so much in a day... But we try to do as much as possible.
We will visit a famous natural landmark, stop by a famous artist workshop, enjoy some almond paste making, meet Sanaa, one of the last loom weavers of the country, enjoy a yummy lunch in a private home.
Day 2 – Hamat and Tripoli
Tripoli has many aliases, the most famous ones being: The Little Damascus, Al Fayha (hint hint—you’ll know more about these stories on site). This city is vibrant and all sorts of buzzing, and offers a combo of architecture, history, authenticity, food, culture, and stories.
This is where we will meet all sorts of artisans: coppersmiths, soap makers, boat makers... and change makers. Because this also matters. While, of course, enjoying some street foods!
Day 3 – Byblos and Beyond
Byblos is known for being one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its heritage goes back 9000 years. It is one of the country's most visited sites—for a reason. But stones are not the only thing the day will be built of.
Cheese tasting, contemporary art, architecture, local specialties, artisans, and a yummy late lunch are some of the building blocks that will make for a memorable day.
Day 4 – Batroun Heights
Batroun. If there is mass tourism in Lebanon, it is in Batroun. But worry not because we will not take you to a tourist trap. We will discover the areas around the city, and only enjoy the good things!
Day 5 – Beirut
Beirut is the beating heart of the country. It is the place where it all meets, unfolds, collides, mixes, blends, and stands out. Let us take you on a different experience of this city that is said to have had 7 lives: From history to old buildings, from local stories to recent events, from beautiful addresses not to miss to amazing nightlife.
We will enjoy some local tastings, walk in some charming and historical neighborhoods, and meet some shopkeepers and business owners....
Day 6 – Bekaa and Baalbeck
Stories, adventures, history, food, and wine will lead you back in time! In one day, you will have a better understanding of the history and the diversity of the country. Stones will talk like never before!
Take a step into time and discover Heliopolis, the City of the Sun: Beyond the three Roman temples, its history goes back to pre-Roman times. Whether you love old stones or get easily bored with them, we can promise you that this site is like no other.
This will be a full day of explorations and unique adventures where locals become the attraction and the Roman sites bring you the past in all its glory.
Day 7 – Chouf
A classic day with some unmissable stops. A women’s cooperative, palaces, and tastings of a yummy biscuit and the Eternal Cedar Trees of Lebanon. But also a handmade tile-making workshop. Yes, the tiles for floorings—the ones that used to ornate all houses.
