Highlands golf is truly distinctive, and this itinerary has been carefully designed to ensure a memorable experience across the region’s finest links.
The tour then continues down the east coast to Aberdeen, where you will enjoy two more outstanding courses in Cruden Bay and Royal Aberdeen. Day 1:
Departure – 4 hr Transfer to Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club
You should aim to arrive at Edinburgh Airport by 10:00 am. The group will be met and transferred for your first round at Fortrose & Rosemarkie. A luxury vehicle will provide spacious, comfortable transport throughout the week. You will arrive with ample time for a light meal before your game.
Golf at Fortrose & Rosemarkie:
Nestled on a small isthmus extending into the Moray Firth, Fortrose & Rosemarkie is a hidden gem. This members’ course offers a wonderful setting and enjoyable golf, with plenty of opportunities for birdie putts.
Transfer to Hotel – 45 min
Check-in at The Station Hotel, Dornoch:
Located adjacent to the first fairway at Royal Dornoch, the recently renovated Station Hotel offers excellent facilities, a welcoming bar, superb restaurant, and stunning views.
Day 2:
Golf at Brora:
Brora is a classic out-and-back design with several holes along the water. You may encounter sheep on the fairways and protective fences around the greens. Brora provides a genuine, memorable Highland links experience.
Day 3:
Golf at Royal Dornoch:
Ranked 12th in the world by Golf Magazine, Royal Dornoch offers a beautiful, strategic, and entertaining round. The course begins on high ground, moves towards the Dornoch Firth, follows the beach, and returns along the upper plateau. The greens are challenging, with run-offs that punish even well-struck shots from poor positions.

Golf at Castle Stuart:
Ranked 77th in the world by Golf Magazine, this modern links by Gil Hanse offers strategic options across wide fairways and challenging hazards. The seaside location and thoughtful design make it a superb addition to Scotland’s links landscape.
Golf at Old Petty:
An 18-hole Tom Doak design set alongside a tidal estuary, Old Petty offers a true links experience near a 400-year-old castle and the historic Old Petty Church (1839). Opening in Spring 2026, it provides an exciting complement to Castle Stuart.
Day 5:
Golf at Nairn:
Dating from 1887, Nairn Links was shaped by legends including Archie Simpson, Old Tom Morris, James Braid, and Ben Sayers. With tricky greens and cleverly angled short holes, it provides a stern but rewarding challenge. Nairn rose to international attention as the Walker Cup venue in 1999.

Golf at Royal Aberdeen:
Ranked 64th in the world by Golf Magazine, Royal Aberdeen dates back to 1780. The Balgownie course, established in 1888, was designed by Archie and Robert Simpson, later extended by James Braid. A classic Scottish links, its front-nine dunes are among the most dramatic in the country.
