New York native Stacey Bendet founded Alice + Olivia in 2002 with the quest to create the perfect pair of pants. The brand was an immediate success, and shortly after its launch, Theory founder Andrew Rosen joined as a partner. Since then, the company has grown into a full contemporary lifestyle brand, including ready-to-wear, gowns, shoes, handbags, accessories, and eyewear. Stacey Bendet pulls inspiration from her love of vintage and all things feminine to design clothing that juxtaposes the whimsical and flirty with the sexy and sophisticated. Ornamented fabrics, colorful prints and ultra-flattering fits provide today’s modern woman with options for every day and every occasion. The brand is a Hollywood favorite with celebrity fans including Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Obama, Jessica Alba, and Kourtney Kardashian.
Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet is available at the brand’s thirty-six freestanding boutiques located in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, East Hampton, Greenwich, Houston, Malibu, Manhasset, Miami, Orange County, San Francisco, Southampton, Washington D.C., Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kuwait, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, Doha, Taipei, Macau, Chengdu, and Bangkok. alice + olivia is also available at over 800 select department and specialty stores worldwide, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Net-a-Porter, Lane Crawford, Isetan, Hankyu, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and Galeries Lafayette.
Full-time CEO and Creative Director, Bendet is also a wife and mother of three daughters who makes supporting charity endeavors a priority in her personal and professional activities. She is a member of the board of trustees of NY-based Good+, a foundation that provides essentials for children of families in need, she supports Ronald McDonald House, which offers assistance to the families of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses and she is also a member of the board of the Jay H. Baker Retailing Center of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, her alma mater. A devoted Ashtanga yoga student who practices daily, Bendet loves vintage stores and flea markets, traveling and spending time with her husband Eric Eisner and their daughters. She has been featured on Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List five times and is now in its hall of fame. Stacey Bendet currently splits her time between New York and Los Angeles.
Proceeds from the sale of this art will benefit Ronald McDonald House New York, which is keeping families close by providing temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families in a strong, supportive and caring environment that encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. The House accommodates 95 families, and it is filled to capacity almost every night. Its location in Manhattan, in close proximity to major cancer treatment centers, draws children and families from across the country and the world, as well as from the metropolitan New York City area. Since its founding, more than 35,000 families have stayed at the House. The House partners with 16 leading cancer treatment hospitals in the New York City area, including Memorial Sloan Kettering, NYU Langone Medical Center, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Weill Cornell Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Fiscally, the House helps families save more than $7.4MM each year in accommodation costs when they must travel long distances for their child’s medical care.
