The Peace Project

The Peace Project was launched in July of 2010 when Lisa Schultz, founder of online creative community asked: "If one person can singlehandedly establish World Peace Day, what can an entire creative community do?

In just five years The Peace Project has inspired over 25,000 artists, donors, corporations, service businesses, art patrons and others in 70 countries to donate art, money, resources and time which have helped The Peace Project transform tens of thousands of lives worldwide. Our accomplishments include:

  • Implemented one of Sierra Leone's largest social efforts in September 2011, distributing 10,000 pairs of crutches to amputees and war victims.
  • Designed a Peace Museum in Sierra Leone in partnership with the United Nations.
  • Co-created Peace Tips, super durable crutch tips that last one year and extend the life of crutches for crutch users in developing countries.
  • Sponsored the education of dozens of children throughout Sierra Leone, Africa, who would probably not have been able to go to school otherwise.
  • Built our first community of 40 houses in the Philippines for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
  • Built a Peace Center in the Philippines where we're implementing skills training, micro-lending and a cooperative.
  • Currently designing a Peace Center for Sierra Leone, Africa.

This campaign will fund the drawings for our Peace Center in Africa as well skills training for our Peace Center in the Philippines.

Through creativity and community we ARE changing the world. We invite you to join us.
