The Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation supports the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Jamaica. The foundation has helped to purchase over 450 pieces of life-saving equipment for the hospital, greatly increasing its capacity to provide quality healthcare for the children of Jamaica and the Caribbean. On January 3, 2009, Shaggy formally introduced a sustainable event that garnered funds to donate to the Bustamante Hospital for Children. The Shaggy and Friends Benefit Concert was the first of his foundation, which was very well supported, successfully raising US$300,000 for the hospital and donating 100% of the proceeds to the cause. To date, the past four (4) “Shaggy & Friends” concerts (2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014) have raised a total of some USD$1.6 million benefiting the Bustamante Hospital.
