DREAM Project provides high-quality educational opportunities to children, youth and families in the Dominican Republic. DREAM's transformative education programs respond to gaps in the national education system and empower at-risk children and youth to create a better future for themselves and their families. Through innovative approaches to literacy, early childhood education, youth leadership, music instruction and community support, DREAM promotes critical thinking and independence to enrich lives and strengthen sustainable communities. As part of DREAM’s core values to create sustainable change, DREAM partners with other mission-driven nonprofits to best support local communities, including the Cabarete Butterfly Effect (CBE).
The CBE celebrates women, athletics and leadership through a four-day non-competitive board-sports event that includes wellness and leadership initiatives, a 3km downriver paddle with an additional wind sport expressions session and community giveback activities that spread “aloha.” The CBE is the largest women’s water sport event in the Caribbean!
