Born out of tragedy after a fire killed two children of migrant workers, the heart broken community came together and donated a farmhouse on six acres to create a safe place for children. The Center was incorporated as a Not for Profit in 1954 and continues to be a lifeline for working parents.
We are an historically Black, community-based institution serving ALL marginalized East End children and families. THE CENTER encourages, educates, and empowers East End children and their families.
