As Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming, Enrique Guillen has oversight over a portfolio of projects and supervises the global expansion of Universal Television Alternative Studio. With over 10 years at NBCUniversal, Guillen most recently joined Universal Television in early 2017, spearheading the creation and international success of The Wall and World of Dance. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of NBC Entertainment where he oversaw development and a number of franchises including Celebrity Apprentice and Last Comic Standing.
Before that, Guillen was a founding team member for Telemundo Studios where he served as Director of Programming and Production. He started his career in television as a journalist, most prominently as supervising producer for USA Broadcasting and senior investigative producer for Univision, where he executive produced a number of news documentaries and earned an Emmy nomination. Prior to that, Guillen was the Editor-in-Chief of the film and television magazine Cinerama.
Guillen holds a MFA in Broadcast Journalist as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Miami and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
