Hollywood can be a brutal business and Karyn Kusama and Alix Madigan have had their share of scrapes breaking through the glass ceiling. Dine with them and find out what it takes to succeed in the entertainment industry. 

Kusama wrote and directed her first feature film, Girlfight in 1999. The film won the Director's Prize and the Grand Jury Prize  at The Sundance Film Festival in 2000. She's also directed Aeon Flux, Jennifer's Body and indie favorite The Invitation. She just wrapped the crime thriller Destroyer with Nicole Kidman. For television she directs shows such as AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire and Showtime’s Billions.

Madigan has a lengthy career in independent film production. She produced Winter's Bone, starring Jennifer Lawrence, which was the winner of The Grand Jury Prize for best dramatic feature at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010. The film also received four Academy Award nominations, including best picture. Madigan most recently produced Laggies, Whitebird in a Blizzard and just completed Veena Sud’s (The Killing) directorial debut for Blumhouse. Currently, she an independent producer at Mad Dog Productions. 

Both Kusama and Madigan serve on the board of Film Independent.

The minimum shipping charge for hard copies of tickets and certificates is $14.95. The minimum shipping charge for merchandise is $19.95 (shipments outside the U.S. are subject to additional shipping and customs fees). Tickets, certificates and merchandise are typically shipped with signature required, unless otherwise specified, via professional carrier. In some cases, tickets will be left at the venue's "Will Call" window under the winner's name. Merchandise is insured for the winning amount.
