Pippa is a British racing driver who qualified for her first Indianapolis 500 in 2011 at her first attempt, becoming the eighth woman in history to do so, and the first British female driver.
Since 2011, Pippa has competed in five Indianapolis 500 races and has competed for the past three years in a pink and white liveried car supporting Susan G. Komen. She holds the unofficial fastest lap speed ever by a female in any era at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and is the fastest female to have ever qualified the current IndyCar chassis with a fastest lap of 229.7 mph. In 2017 she is aiming to be the first woman ever to go over 230mph for an average lap during next year's Indianapolis 500 qualifying.
As part of her partnership with Susan G. Komen, Pippa has participated in both local and national events to raise money for the past three years, focused on getting race fans involved and engaged in Komen's mission. One of the most emotionally impactful fundraisers has been allowing fans to place the names of loved ones who have fought, or who are fighting cancer, in the cockpit of Pippa's car with her for Indy 500 race day.
