Anuj is a highly respected intellectual property, entertainment, and transactional attorney with more than a decade of experience advising clients across television, film, theater, and media. Licensed to practice in both California and the United Kingdom, he has built a distinguished career negotiating and structuring complex deals for some of the entertainment industry's most recognizable productions, creators, and platforms.
An Oxford graduate, published author, and trained BBC producer, Anuj brings a unique combination of creative, journalistic, business, and legal expertise to his work. Throughout his career, he has negotiated numerous intellectual property acquisitions, first-look agreements, talent deals, and licensing arrangements involving A-list producers, writers, actors, and production companies.
Anuj has extensive experience handling high-profile licensing and adaptation deals for globally recognized intellectual properties, particularly Japanese and Korean franchises being adapted for U.S. audiences. His work has involved projects and platforms including Amazon, Netflix, and Showtime. Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, he served as a key business and legal affairs attorney on flagship scripted productions at ITV Studios America and Tomorrow Studios.
An active member of both the Television Academy and British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Anuj has also served on the board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society.
