Enjoy a three night stay for a two at UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa, in a unique Casa on the historical Quadrado in Trancoso, Brazil. UXUA was chosen in 2020 by Condè Nast Readers Choice Awards as the #1 Resort in South America for the second consecutive year.
The stay includes:
Half UXUA's casas here date back 500-years to the village's founding. The hotel was crafted using traditional techniques, reclaimed materials, and antiques, all by local artisans collaborating with designer Wilbert Das. Authenticity is the greatest luxury a visit to Brazil's Bahia state can offer, and living among native families in the heart of old Trancoso delivers the experience naturally, in style and comfort, and with an ethos of sustainability. Enjoy 5-star hotel service, always in the warm Bahia style, including UXUA Praia, a spectacular rustic lounge built using old seaside fishing boats. Praia, along with Chef Ju Pedrosa’s Uxua Quadrado restaurant, serves a cuisine inspired on Bahian fusion blending healthy, organic and contemporary twist influenced by research by groundbreaking UXUA Vida Lab. The Lab is directed by physician Julian Hamamoto and dedicated to following advanced nutrition and effective spa treatments originating from the incredible surrounding biodiversity and highlighted in leading international publications such as National Geographic and Vogue USA, who refer to it "as the best SPA for a romantic getaway."
UXUA is the only name listed 3-consecutive years as a nominee for Virtuoso's Sustainable Tourism Leadership Award - five luxury hotels selected from a list of 1750 of the best in the world. We've created UXUA without invading nature; instead hosting visitors in the heart of a historic community. The magic ingredient is the gracious, welcoming attitude of the people of Trancoso. Among our neighbors are wonderful collaborators in social projects we empower. Learn more here.
Regarding COVID-19, UXUA reopened on November 2020 with new cleaning protocols and appropriate PPE for its staff. Being a Casa Hotel in a private garden gave UXUA great advantage in social distancing for guests, and small adjustments were made in social areas like the gym (now used privately by each Casa according to pre-booked appointments) and breakfast (no longer buffet, now a la carte served in house or at restaurant).
UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa is a proud Platinum Sponsor of the Center for Responsible Travel (CREST), committed to supporting responsible travel research and development.
