Donated by: Bill Comins, Peter Max and Pat Martino
Luthier Bill Comins, Artist Peter Max, and Jazz Great Pat Martino have teamed up to create this painted and signed handmade guitar!

Bill Comins created a handmade arch top jazz guitar, which was then painted by Peter Max, and signed by Pat Martino, while playing at Birdland in New York City. All were brought together by Guitarist Bob Miles who has donated his talents to the New York Coalition for Healthy School Food over the last 9 years.

See Fine Print for additional specifications.

Bill Comins has been dedicated to crafting high end handmade archtop guitars for over twenty years. Producing a limited number of pieces per year, Bill crafts exquisite custom instruments for international clientele consisting of professional and novice musicians, educators, and collectors. Peter Max has inspired Americans for more than four decades. His one-man museum exhibitions have had record-breaking attendance while also demonstrating how fine art can extend beyond museum walls and enrich non-traditional media, such as a Continental Airlines super jet, a 600 ft. Woodstock stage, and a handmade guitar. Pat Martino is one of jazz guitar’s living legends. Emerging in the early sixties, Pat’s virtuosic mastery of the guitar would propel his decades long career performing with a wide variety of artists including Sonny Stitt, Gene Ammons, Richard Groove Holmes, John Handy, Bobby Hutcherson, Chick Corea, Jack McDuff, Don Patterson, Stanley Clark, Eric Kloss, Trudy Pitts, Willis Jackson, Lloyd Price, Woody Herman, Chuck Israels, Charles Earland, Barry Miles and Joe Pesci.
