This unique fine art print is an Artist Proof of only 5 from the original negative Globe photos has in their archives in Los Angeles. This unique image of prominent Spanish painter, Pablo Picasso captured on film in 1958 at a bullfight dressed as a matador in Catalonia, Spain. Bullfighting was his passion but he was forced to stay in France due to General Francos dictatorship in Spain and would periodically sneak into the French/Spanish border cities to see the Corrida. Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theater designer who spent most of his adult life in France. He was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co-invention of collage and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. This fine art print of The Matador is printed from the original negative from Globe along with the Globe Photo seal and the Certificate of Authenticity.
