Liz Elting is a New York-based entrepreneur, business leader, bestselling author, linguaphile, philanthropist, feminist, and mother. She is recognized as one of the most successful self-made women in the world and is celebrated for her work to tackle systemic barriers to success and equality and develop the next generation of women business leaders. Liz received an MBA in Finance and International Business from The Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA in Modern Languages and Literatures from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. By 21, she had lived, studied, and worked in the United States, Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Venezuela. After earning her MBA, Liz set out to combine her passion for exploring new cultures, her love of languages, and her aptitude for business in order to bridge gaps and dismantle barriers for companies doing business globally. She founded TransPerfect out of an NYU dorm room in 1992.

Headquartered in New York City, the company has over $1.1 billion in revenue and offices in over 100 cities around the globe. During Liz’s time as Co-CEO, TransPerfect was an eight-time winner of the Inc. 5000 Award, a winner of the 2015 SmartCEO Corporate Culture Awards, and earned numerous Stevie Awards, including Company of the Year and Fastest Growing Tech Company of the Year, among a host of other accolades. It was continually recognized as one of the largest privately held companies and the largest and fastest-growing woman-owned companies in the world and was named the Internet Marketing Association’s Best Translation Solution. In 2018, Liz Founded the Elizabeth Elting Foundation to break down systemic barriers, bridge gaps, and foster systemic change for women and other underserved communities so that people of every stripe can succeed, thrive, and reach their potential. In 2020, the Elizabeth Elting Foundation launched the Halo Fund, a comprehensive multimillion-dollar pandemic relief initiative aimed at direct support for medical needs, hunger relief, health equity, and on-the-ground efforts in underserved communities.
