Adam has close to two decades of expertise in international public relations and communications across fashion, lifestyle and design, founding his own boutique agency L52 Communications in 2016.
Adam's career has included leading fashion services agency KCD (NY and London offices) as well as in-house at Burberry. His clients included Bottega Veneta, Versace, Marc Jacobs, as well as Chloé, Balmain, Marc Jacobs and Maison Margiela in the UK. His own London-based boutique agency, L52 Communications, was founded in 2016. A next-generation communications agency, it works across public relations, marketing, social media and events, with services ranging from strategy and brand building to day-to-day communications management. Current clients include Etro, Bally, Khaite and Loro Piana, as well as a new generation of mould-breaking designers: Maximilian, Mowalola and Charlotte Knowles. L52 Communications has also undertaken projects with YouTube, The Row, Victoria Beckham and i-D magazine, alongside hosting events in London, Milan, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Most recently, he co-founded menswear brand SMR Days with industry veterans Dan May and Gautam Rajani, which launched in 2020 (Shapiro is also the brand’s chief marketing officer, which he undertakes alongside his ongoing role as founder of L52 Communications). A resortwear label for men, SMR Days was built with a sense of ease and escape at its heart – warm-weather mainstays, elevated with traditional artisanal techniques and rich, sustainably minded natural materials. It is stocked on Matches Fashion, Mr Porter and the brand’s own e-commerce platform SMRDays.com.
