A leader in the sports industry, Liz has a decade of executive search, leadership consulting and organizational assessment experience. She also regularly partners with companies in sectors underrepresented by women, including sports, media and technology, to recruit a new generation of diverse leadership, guide succession planning, and drive executive team effectiveness.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Liz was senior client partner and leader in the global sports and nonprofit practices at an international search firm, where she represented national and global sports leagues and teams, preeminent media organizations and related associations and nonprofit organizations. She has led numerous high-profile searches, including commissioner for several of the nation’s most prominent professional leagues and college conferences; chief media officer for a progressive sports media company; the president and chief executive officer of a globally recognized professional sports team; athletic director for a premier university; and chief executive officer for a foundation dedicated to the work of an iconic sports leader. Liz has been recognized for her work recruiting women leaders into significant executive roles within the top leagues, teams, technology and media organizations. In 2018, she was awarded the Sports Business Journal’s Game Changers award for her successful efforts in diversity searches. She has worked extensively at the intersection of nonprofit and sports, recruiting leaders and advising boards of directors to leverage the brands and legacies of admired sports teams, leagues and athletes in order to create societal impact.
