Truly comical limited edition of 100 where photographer Richard Aaron shot the top 70's Southern Rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd's Allen Collins with Roller Skating Monkey "Zip the monkey" drinking Jack Daniel's Whiskey. Aaron had a special technique of developing where he could color only certain parts of the negative.
Artist bio:
In a career that has spanned over three decades, New York native Richard E. Aaron has taken photographs for a wide variety of media, ranging from feature films, television and video to corporate public relations, entertainment publicity and album covers. His work has appeared in more than 20,000 magazines, newspapers and books worldwide. Perhaps best known for his music photography, he has hundreds of album covers to his credit including Frampton Comes Alive, still the biggest-selling double live LP ever. Among his many achievements, Richard shot the first photographic rock and roll cover for Time magazine – featuring Sir Paul McCartney. Other works in his repertoire include Fleetwood: The Visitor in Africa, a photographic account of the Mick Fleetwood tour shot on location in Ghana West Africa. In recognition of his contribution to the field of music photography, he has been honored as one of the 10 Best Rock Photographers in the world by Modern Photography magazine.
