Amy Richards is a writer, producer and organizer. Most recently Amy produced the Emmy nominated series WOMAN for Viceland and curated a series of talks to accompany Annie Leibovitz’s traveling exhibit WOMEN. Amy is also the president of Soapbox, Inc., the foremost feminist lecture agency, and the affiliated Soapbox Foundation, creators of Feminist Camp. Amy lectures at dozens of venues each year and contributes, through her writings and media appearances, to the current public conversations on feminism. Amy co-founded and spent several years leading the Third Wave Foundation, a national organization for young feminist activists between the ages of 15 and 30, which continues today as the Third Wave Fund. Amy’s leadership and visionary work launched her as a primary spokesperson and leading voice for contemporary feminist issues. Amy was a consulting producer on the HBO documentary Gloria Steinem: In Her Own Words and an advisor to the PBS documentary on the women’s movement in America, MAKERS: Women Making America. Amy is working on a book to inspired by the MAKERS’ film and digital platform and for several decades has worked closely with Gloria Steinem on her writings.
Ariel Wengroff, Executive Producer of VICELAND's WOMAN and Chief of Staff for VICE Ariel Wengroff is currently an Executive Producer of the Emmy nominated VICELAND show WOMAN with Gloria Steinem, a series associate producer for the award winning series Vice on HBO and as Chief of Staff works closely with Vice Media Founder and CEO Shane Smith. Wengroff previously was the Communications and Finance Director for Welch For Congress and before that the Communications Director of the Vermont Democratic Party. From 2010 to 2012, Ariel worked in the Office of Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin as a Constituent Correspondent and then as a Special Assistant to the Governor where she worked on emergency disaster response for Tropical Storm Irene. A recipient of the Wainwright Poetry Award, she writes for The Huffington Post, Vice Media, BBC and her work is published in the United States and Europe. She is currently on the board of Lesbians Who Tech and is a former commissioner on the Vermont Commission on Women and former member on the Vermont Board of Libraries
