A piece of rock and roll history, hand-signed by the man who played drums for The Beatles before the world ever knew their name.

This custom DeRosa bass guitar, emblazoned with the bold inscription "THE 5th BEATLE", bears the authentic signature of Pete Best and arrives fully authenticated. Pete Best served as the drummer for The Beatles from 1960 to 1962, performing alongside John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison during the band's formative years in Liverpool and Hamburg. Replaced by Ringo Starr just weeks before the group's meteoric rise to global fame, Best occupies one of the most storied and bittersweet chapters in music history, a figure forever linked to the most iconic band of the 20th century. The guitar itself is a custom DeRosa bass, presented in new condition and finished with the "THE 5th BEATLE" designation and showing graphic images of him and Sir Paul McCartney (known best for the iconic left-handed bass guitar he played) that speak directly to Best's singular place in the Beatles' origin story. It is as much a conversation piece as it is a collectible, equally at home displayed in a private study, a music room, or a dedicated memorabilia collection.

For Beatles devotees, rock history enthusiasts, and serious collectors alike, this is a rare opportunity to own a tangible connection to the earliest days of the Fab Four, signed by the one who was there before the legend began.
