The Colorado Avalanche selected O'Reilly in the second round (No. 33) in the 2009 NHL Draft and O'Reilly became the first player to jump directly into the NHL in his draft year who wasn't a first-round selection since Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins and Dan Fritsche of the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2003-04.O'Reilly scored his first NHL point with an assist in Colorado's season-opening victory against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 1, 2009. At 18 years, 236 days, O'Reilly, at the time, became the youngest player in Avalanche history. Traded to the Buffalo Sabres on June 26, 2015, O'Reilly led the team with 60 points. On March 31, 2016, O'Reilly assisted on a goal by his brother Cal during a 4-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
A Buffalo Sabres Jersey Autographed by #23 Sam Reinhart Autographed Jersey. Selected by the Buffalo Sabres with the No. 2 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, Reinhart's brothers, Max and Griffin, played in the NHL, and his father, Paul, was an NHL defenseman for 648 games from 1979-90 with the Atlanta/Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. Reinhart scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 17, 2015, against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He scored a hat trick Jan. 10, 2016, against the Winnipeg Jets. Scoring 23 goals, Reinhart joined Jack Eichel (24) as the first Sabres rookie tandem to record 20-goal seasons since Danny Gare and Peter McNab in 1974-75. With Canada, Reinhart won a bronze medal at the 2012 IIHF World Under-18 Championship and a gold medal at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Under-18 Tournament. He also won a gold medal with Canada at the World Under-18 Championship and scored a goal in the final against Russia as Canada won the 2015 World Junior Championship.
