You and up to seven guests will enjoy wine tasting with Massimo Ferragamo at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany!
This private wine tour begins with a visit to the spectacular Capanna vineyard and it gives visitors the chance to discover the unique microclimate and soil that nourish the Sangiovese Grosso for Brunello di Montalcino, while admiring one of Tuscany’s most stunning panoramic views.
By visiting the cellars at the winery, guests can learn the attention to detail paid throughout the wine making process, and experience an extraordinary opportunity to follow the aging of Castiglion del Bosco’s most representative wine, Brunello di Montalcino, by tasting en primeur two not yet released vintages of Brunello directly from the barrels.
To complete the experience a wine tasting follows, where six wines, including Cru of Brunello di Montacino, can be enjoyed together with a selection of the best Tuscan cheeses, fresh home-made bread, and Castiglion del Bosco's superb extra virgin olive oil and honey.
Tuscany is a land of splendor and endless beauty. Castiglion del Bosco, surrounded by untouched nature and preserving Tuscan cultural heritage and tradition, shares the legacy of the region through its appreciation of art, cuisine, vineyards, and traditional craftsmanship. Castiglion del Bosco is privately owned by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo. Massimo, who is the Chairman of Ferragamo USA Inc., has always had a passion to get into the wine business, and in 2003 he purchased the Castiglion del Bosco property in Tuscany. Castiglion del Bosco is located in the northwest region of Montalcino, where the rocky, and great soils are perfect for yielding wines of superb structure and complexity. Castiglion del Bosco has been producing wines for over a century and is one of the founders of the Brunello of Montalcino denomination. The estate's 2,000 hectares are largely occupied by dense woods of holm oak, oak, and beech, in addition to meadows, organically-farmed crops and 62 hectares of vineyard planted exclusively to Sangiovese.
