Description of piece:
This original hand-painted animation cel Woody Gets a Hit was produced as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 200 pieces, signed by Woody Woodpecker creator Walter Lantz.
Following the production, the cels were co-signed by Reggie Jackson. Only a much smaller number from the original 200 cels— (of which this rare piece is one)— were additionally signed by Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto, and Yogi Berra, for a total of 4 baseball Hall-of-Famers signatures!
All the signatures have been examined and authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), and the cel is accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity. Additionally, the artwork bears an original Walter Lantz Productions seal, featuring Woody's inimitable profile.
This great collectible comes custom framed and ready for display in an impressively sized, perfectly square black frame with black rope detailing measuring 27.5" in height x 27.5" width, with a custom double mat in white with a blue inner mat.
Color photos of co-signers Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and Phil Rizzuto complete the display, each also highlighted by the double mat. Beneath Reggie Jackson's signature is the inscription: "Mr. October".
