Rachel Feldman has completed her debut feature film, Lilly, starring Patricia Clarkson, John Benjamin Hickey, and Thomas Sadoski. The film, based on the life of fair pay activist Lilly Ledbetter, will premiere at the Hamptons and Palm Springs International Film Festivals and is set for distribution in Spring 2025.
Feldman is a seasoned director of dramatic television, with credits including pilots and series for ABC, CBS, NBC, MGM, Amazon, SyFy, and Lifetime. Recent work includes episodes of The Baxters, Blue Bloods, The Rookie, and Criminal Minds. She has directed award-winning short films broadcast on HBO, PBS, and Showtime, funded by grants from The Jerome Foundation, NYSCA, AFI, Kodak, and Panavision.
Her screenplay for Lilly has received acclaim from the Athena List and Breaking Through the Lens and was awarded a NYWFT Ravenal Foundation Grant. Her pilot KINKS won the ScreenCraft Best Pilot Award and was the US selection for Cannes Series MIPTV. Feldman’s screenplays have been produced by Lifetime Television and SyFy and optioned by Double Nickel Entertainment, Marc Platt Productions, and others.
An advocate for gender parity in the film industry, Feldman served as co-chair of the DGA Women’s Steering Committee and has been featured in a TEDx Talk on the importance of women filmmakers. She holds an MFA in film directing from NYU, where her thesis film won over 25 awards. Feldman’s early career included work as a storyboard artist and a professional child actor, notably voicing Lucy in Peanuts animation.
Feldman’s perspective is shaped by her New York roots and commitment to justice through storytelling.
