Enjoy the opportunity to virtually meet with music supervisor, Frank Palazzolo, owner of ctrl+F music, and Shannon Quisenberry Palazzolo, Head of Sync at Think Music.
This is a great opportunity to hear from both sides of the music licensing world and learn what it’s like to pitch music for an indie licensing company and the steps it takes to get a song placed by a supervisor into a TV show or movie.
You can play your own music for these two and hear where they think the songs could land in TV/Film/Ad/Promos and give tips to why they are or are not “sync-able" or pick their brains about the licensing industry, how they got where they are and their favorite music moments.
Frank Palazzolo has worked on over 1,000 episodes of television during his 15-year career as a music supervisor. He got his start in the Universal Pictures Film Music department before honing his crafted collaborating alongside former KCRW DJ and Emmy-nominated music supervisor Liza Richardson. While at Liza’s company, Mad Doll Music, he worked on over 30 shows including The Leftovers, Parenthood, The Path, About a Boy, Hemlock Grove, Scorpion, and Graceland. Frank started ctrl+F music in 2021 and has just wrapped up Amazon’s Forget Normal, the Netflix film The Weekend Away, and Apple’s acclaimed series, The Morning Show. He is currently working on Locke & Key and In the Land of Make Believe for Netflix, and Bel-Air for Peacock.
Shannon Quisenberry Palazzolo is the Head of Sync at THINK Music Inc. and has been an integral part of helping independent artists land placements from hit TV shows (Shameless, Queen Sugar, The Leftovers, Magnum PI, Good Trouble, Lucifer, Younger, The Bold Type) to national and global advertisements (Toyota, Comcast, Fitbit, Coors Light, AT&T) and everything in between. With a strong ear for lyrics and love of artists who fall left-of-center, Shannon is always looking for the newest and most original music to dance in her chair to…that might work for sync as well!
