With his first job on Run for Your Life, Barry Williams launched himself into a diversified and distinguished show business career that has spanned over 5 decades. Early television credits also include Dragnet, The FBI, It Takes A Thief, The Mod Squad, and Mission Impossible. Then came The Brady Bunch where he was cast as America’s most reliable big brother, Greg. Following its original five-year run, The Brady Bunch has enjoyed unprecedented success, spawning subsequent sequels, movies, a cartoon show, a variety show, specials, and even another series titled simply The Brady’s. Barry was the recipient of the Young Artist Foundation Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award.
After The Brady Bunch, Barry won the title role in The Broadway musical Pippin. This launched an extensive career in musical theater with over 85 productions including City of Angels, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Grease, and West Side Story. His other television credits include Police Woman, Three's Company, Highway to Heaven, Scrubs, Murder, She Wrote, and a stint on the daytime soap General Hospital.
Williams penned the New York Times Bestselling, Growing UP Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg. Other accomplishments include executive producing the movie Growing Up Brady; hosting "The Barry Williams Show" on SiriusXM; recording several CDs; performing around the world; and, starring in the Syfy movie Big Foot. Williams also wrote, coproduced, and starred in 3 USO Christmas Shows entertaining our overseas troops. Barry produced and wrote a live variety musical show – 70s Music Celebration starring Barry Williams which ran for 6 years in Branson, MO. He is the founding member of the musical trio Barry Williams and The Travelers. More recently Barry was on The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars.
