Silvia Baldini, a native of Turin, Italy and the first female chef to be a Chopped Champion, will show you and five friends how to cook a unique, northern Italian truffle feast virtually or in the NYC or Fairfield County, CT area! The class will be accompanied by a trio of iconic Italian wines from the award-winning GAJA Winery Estate in Piedmont. Wanda Mann of Wine with Wanda will discuss the wines.
Plus you will receive an Urbani Truffle Package, All-Clad D3 Stainless Everyday 4 quart Sauté Pan with lid, and a Basket of fine Italian food products from D. Coluccio & Sons which New York Magazine calls "an Italian superette of exceptional merit." This basket will include rice for risotto, olive oil, Parmesan Reggiano, Calabrese sauce, organic pesto, Italian tomato paste, Italian tuna, Italian jarred tomatoes, and other finest quality Italian food (subject to change).

Silvia Baldini, a native of Turin, Italy, is a chef, innovator, and serial entrepreneur. She is knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable food and holds the belief that wholesome ingredients and traditional wisdom combined with technology will be the key to living a happy and healthy life. Silvia moved to New York to work in advertising, where she held a distinguished and award-winning career as an art director on Madison Avenue. Her formative years in Italy instilled in her a passion for the culinary arts, which led her to pursue culinary training at International Culinary Center NYC and Cordon Bleu in London. Silvia had the opportunity to learn from the best with positions at Michelin-starred kitchens in Europe, including the Ritz Carlton in London and Ottolenghi. Since then, Silvia established her own creative food group, Strawberry and Sage and has appeared on various Food Network shows. She became the first professional female chef in Connecticut to become a Chopped Champion. Silvia’s work and recipes have been published in Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Parents Magazine, TeenVogue, Reader's Digest, Thrillist, Refinery29, Country Magazine, Saveur, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Independent, and La Cucina Italiana, She has been featured in Forbes, Tech Crunch, and Entrepreneurial Chef. She is a proud board member of Les Dames d’Escoffier New York.
Native New Yorker Wanda Mann began writing about wine in 2008. She is the founder of the Wine With Wanda website, the East Coast Editor for The SOMM Journal, and the New York Editor for Tasting Panel. In 2015, Wanda earned the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) credential from the Society of Wine Educators. Wanda serves on the board of Les Dames d'Escoffier New York.
