As the acclaimed producer of The Hunger Games, Jon Kilik has collaborated with a wide range of filmmakers including 13 of Spike Lee’s films such as Do the Right Thing, Mo’ Better Blues, Malcolm X, He Got Game, 25th Hour, Inside Man, and Miracle at St. Anna.
He has produced two films directed by Tim Robbins, the Academy Award-winning Dead Man Walking and Cradle Will Rock. Jon has produced three films directed by Julian Schnabel, Basquiat, starring Jeffrey Wright as Jean-Michel Basquiat; Before Night Falls, for which Javier Bardem earned an Academy Award nomination; and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, which won 2 Golden Globe Awards including Best Foreign-Language Film, and was nominated for 4 Academy Awards including Best Director.
As a producer of Babel, he was a Producers Guild of America and Academy Award nominee; in addition to the Best Picture nomination, the film was up for 6 other Oscars. Babel’s many other honors worldwide included ALMA and Golden Globe Awards for Best Picture, and a Gotham Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
His other films as producer include Robert De Niro’s A Bronx Tale; Gary Ross’ award-winning Pleasantville; Ed Harris’ Academy Award-winning Pollock; Chris Eyre’s Skins; and Oliver Stone’s Alexander.
