Description of piece:
This striking portrait of Sir Anthony Hopkins, captured in London in 1991 by renowned photographer Brian Aris, is a study in presence and intensity. Taken just two years before Hopkins was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to drama, the image captures the actor in a moment of stillness with his piercing gaze, shadowed expression, and all the quiet power that has defined his legendary career, especially in his portrayals of Dr. Hannibal Lector. With masterful lighting and a minimalist background, Aris draws the viewer into the subject’s depth, allowing Hopkins’ face to speak volumes without words. This limited-edition print is both a tribute to a cinematic icon and a powerful standalone work of photographic art. The print will be sent in a flat box, ready for your framing choice.
