Bid now to meet and shadow Hollywood Producer Alison Greenspan of DiNovi Pictures for 5 days in Los Angeles.
Apprentice will attend all creative meetings and lunches, and get a first look at the development, prep, and post production process.
Alison Greenspan is president of Di Novi Pictures and partner to Denise Di Novi. She has worked with Denise for the past fifteen years. Greenspan just completed post-production on UNFORGETTABLE, Denise’s directorial debut. The film is a thriller starring Katherine Heigl and Rosario Dawson and will be released by Warner Bros, which is the duo’s home studio for features.
Prior to that, Greenspan produced IF I STAY for MGM. The film stars Chloe Moretz, and is based on Gayle Forman’s beloved and bestselling novel. If I Stay was financed by MGM for $10million, and released by Warner Bros to make $75 million worldwide. It won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Drama (2014).
Books and book adaptations are a true love for Greenspan. For Relativity, she produced Michael Hoffman’s BEST OF ME, her fourth adaptation of a best-selling Nicholas Sparks novel. She previously served as Executive Producer on THE LUCKY ONE starring Zac Efron as well as NIGHTS IN RODANTHE starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. She developed WALK TO REMEMBER and packaged it with Shane West and Mandy Moore.
Prior to that, Greenspan produced the emotional drama YOU’RE NOT YOU, in which Oscar winner Hilary Swank stars as a woman battling ALS. The picture was directed by Tony Award winning George C. Wolfe, and also features Emmy Rossum, Josh Duhamel, Jason Ritter, Marcia Gay Harden, and Loretta Devine. The movie was a passion project for Greenspan as she lost both her father and aunt to the fatal illness.
For Fox 2000, she produced Tom Bezucha’s caper comedy MONTE CARLO, starring Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez, and Cory Monteith; and the beloved RAMONA AND BEEZUS based on the series of children’s books by Newbury Award-winning author Beverly Cleary. Her other feature credits include SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS; SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS2; NEW YORK MINUTE; and WHAT A GIRL WANTS.
Greenspan and Di Novi have several projects in development at Warner Bros., including adaptations of Jandy Nelson’s critically acclaimed novel I’LL GIVE YOU THE SUN; Mitch Albom’s novel FIRST PHONE CALL FROM HEAVEN; and RAILHEAD, a Phil Reeve steampunk in space book which Doug Liman is going to direct.
Her television credits include ABC’s “Eloise at the Plaza” and “Eloise at Christmastime.” Greenspan is currently developing a limited series with Sonar based on Jonathan Eig’s book THE BIRTH OF THE PILL; a series based on the NY Times Sunday Styles fave “Vows” Column with rom com superstars Kohn & Silverstein; a series based on SIGNED, MATA HARI with blacklist writer Julia Cox; and a dramedy half hour romantic comedy based on the novel MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE.
Greenspan began her career with a two-year stint at Creative Artists Agency working for then Co-Chairman Jack Rapke. She then spent three years as a creative executive at ImageMovers, Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke’s production company. In 2000, Greenspan joined Di Novi Pictures as Vice President of Development.
She graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she enjoyed a four-year stint as performer, writer and director in the nation’s only all-female collegiate comedy troupe, Bloomers.
