Beth Bruckner O’Brien is currently the SVP of development and production at Solstice Studios, a new independent domestic distributor planning to wide-release 3-5 commercial films/year. Solstice’s first release, Unhinged, directed by Derrick Borte, and starring Russell Crowe, is slated for release July 2020. Beth’s previous executive producer credits include Leatherface, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, and Bullet Head starring John Malkovich, Adrien Brody, and Antonio Banderas. From 2011 through 2016, she served as an executive at Millennium Films under Mark Gill. In that capacity, she had the immense privilege of developing and packaging high profile projects such as London Has Fallen, Olympus Has Fallen, Expendables 2, Expendables 3, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Homefront, Lovelace and The Iceman. During her tenure, Millennium Films released 33 films and counted over 30 additional projects on their development slate.
Prior to Millennium Films, she was a development executive at Peter Block’s company, A Bigger Boat. At A Bigger Boat and its umbrella company, GreeneStreet Films, Beth worked in development for 3 years, most notably on House at the End of the Street starring Jennifer Lawrence, Saw 6, Saw 3D, John Carpenter’s The Ward and Adam Green’s Frozen. Before A Bigger Boat and GreeneStreet Films, she held positions at ICM and Actors’ Equity Association. Additionally, Beth has worked on numerous film sets in physical production as a production assistant, assistant location manager, and even as a stand-in and background performer.
She is originally from Los Gatos, California and graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology.
