Ulrich has worked with a staggering array of talented producers including Ryan Murphy (majority of Ryan's productions), Francis Ford Coppola, Jerry Bruckheimer, James Cameron, Ron Howard, Wolfgang Petersen, Anne Rice, Steven Bochco, Aaron Spelling, Gail Berman, Joel Surnow and Jodie Foster. For over 35 years Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting cast over 100 different television shows including Gen V, Feud, CSI, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, The Mentalist, Dexter, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Big Sky and James Cameron’s Dark Angel. Most recently, Robert produced a film, The Surrender, which was at SXSW and currently streaming on Shudder. Robert has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards, winning for casting Glee. He has been nominated for the Artios Awards 22 times and won twice, for casting Glee and Nip/Tuck. Robert and his company received the Hoyt Bowers Award for Excellence in Casting, the highest honor you can receive as a Casting Director.
Robert’s career expanded to include on camera work as the host/mentor on Oxygen’s hit competition series, The Glee Project. Robert also started a production company, Stay Relevant Productions, with his business partner, Mike Jenner. Robert’s first venture was a dramatic feature film, Billy Boy followed by Mail Order Monster, The Civility of Albert Cashier, and a feature film, Foster Boy, which is presented by Shaquille O'Neal.
