As EVP of Series and Productions at FX, Jonathan oversees all facets of day to day production for the entire slate of FX original Productions. Get advice and ask questions about what makes FX a leader in global programming and learn tips about how to break into the television industry.
Series overseen by Frank include the FX dramas The Old Man, Snowfall, and Mayans M.C, Sterling Affairs as well as limited series Great Expectations, The Patient, and anthology franchises American Horror Story and American Horror Stories. In addition, Frank supervises the production of the FX comedy series The Bear, Reservation Dogs, What We Do in the Shadows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, DAVE and Breeders.
Frank also leads the team developing FX’s growing slate of docuseries and documentary films, including Welcome to Wrexham, Dear Mama, The New York Times Presents, Children of the Underground, Hip Hop Uncovered, Hysterical, Pride, The Most Dangerous Animal of All, AKA Jane Roe and A Wilderness of Error. Frank oversaw production on many of FX’s legacy series, including Atlanta, Better Things, The Americans, Sons of Anarchy, The Strain, The League, Baskets, Kindred, You’re the Worst and the FX Original Movie A Christmas Carol.
Frank first joined FX in 2008 as Vice President of Current Programming and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Current Programming in 2011. His subsequent role as Executive Vice President of Current Programming was expanded in 2016 to include FXP original series for non-FX outlets. Prior to joining FX, Frank was with Mark Johnson Productions as head of television development and Caryn Mandbach Productions as Vice President of Television Development. He began his career in 1999 at Pariah, where he rose from an assistant to a creative executive.
